Effortel Technologies is a subsidiary of a European company active in the telecom sector, more particularly developing Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) across Europe (http://www.effortel.com).
 
Effortel has successfully launched Carrefour’s mobile phone prepaid offer on the Belgian market and Italian markets, under the brand name “1 Mobile” (http://www.1-mobile.be), and (http://www.unomobile.it/).
Effortel is expanding rapidly and will launch at least 2 more operations by the end of beginning of 2008.

We are currently looking for a Back Office Technical Officer (m/f) to reinforce our organisation.

The primary mission of the job is answering to 2nd level incoming questions from the call centres and internal Effortel customers, on subjects related to technical issues for mobile services, as well as for customer facing applications. The successful candidate will also act as support/contact point for third and outsourced partners, and content providers (tickets).
 
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the main responsibilities of this position include:
  
  • Assist online and coach all first line contact centres regarding technical questions, serve our customers in a better way.
  • Analyse, solve dispatch and follow-up all trouble tickets and mails, in collaboration with 2nd and 3rd level teams (internal or external).
  • Detect incidents related to transversal products, services, applications, postpaid and prepaid billing with possible impact on customers and apply appropriate priority & notification process.
  • Inform customers continuously on the status of their problem according to their segmentation (internal and external customers).
  • Collect relevant information in order to prepare efficient communication towards our customers, management, dealers, partners and operational teams (proactively alarms, planned interventions and retro-actively for incidents) and translate technical information into customer language.
  • Support the launch of new products and services (testing, Friendly user Test) and think pro-actively about the required support.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements.
The successful candidate has a degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience. He/she can build on minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a customer services environment, has an excellent knowledge of contact centre activities and of mobile and telecommunications products, services, technical matters, GSM, data and Internet.

We are currently looking for a Functional Analyst (m/f) to reinforce our organisation.
 
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the main responsibility of this position is working in the Information System Engineering department, to participate in the functional and technical analysis and perform development of the Effortel billing, CRM, Selfcare and provisioning systems.
The successful candidate has a degree in engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent by experience. He/she can build on minimum 3 years experience in the Telco/ISP or other company on position involving hands-on management of infrastructure resources, and in systems management/administration experience. Experience in MVNO or Mobile Service Provider is an asset.
  
Specific experience:
  
  • Carrier-class information technology systems (CRM, Billing, ERP…)
  • Familiar with both Unix and Windows server environment
  • Confidence in working with database servers (MS SQL 2000 and 2005, Oracle…)
  • Fundamental knowledge of network protocols (SS7), strong knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Experience in task automation (shell scripting, programming simple routines/procedures)
  • Confidence in working with WebServices (SOAP 1.1) and good knowledge of .NET, C#, C++, SQL
  • Ability to see the managed infrastructure (both hardware and software) as a part of a company processes
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (Business Objects)

We are currently looking for a Network Administrator (m/f) to reinforce our organisation.
 
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the main responsibility of this position is being responsible for system and network administration. The Network Administrator will have an integrated picture of the overall architecture and will deal with network and systems administration(operatingsystemlevel).
The successful candidate has a degree in IT engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent by experience. He/she can build on minimum 4 years experience in network administration and in the Telco/ISP or other company on position involving hands-on management of infrastructure resources.
  
Specific experience:
  
  • LAN/WAN technologies and hardware (routers, switches)
  • Transmission systems (SDH/PDH) and related hardware (Multiplexers, cross-connects)
  • Transmission protocols (TCP/IP, notions of SS7/ISDN)
  • Carrier-class high availability IT systems (Win32 and any flavor of UNIX)
  • Back office infrastructure (PBXes, WiFi networks), emails and Web servers
  • Network security
  • Other IT and development skills are a plus
The ideal candidate is proactive, has a problem-solving personality and is hands-on oriented. He has very good communication and listening skills and can be persuasive when needed. Flexibility, creativity, structured and pragmatic approach of work are essential skills for the success in this role. As Customer Service Representative you will provide phone & written assistance to customers on commercial (products & services), technical and financial questions, search for solutions and solve problems within the time span.
 
Reporting to the Chief Technical & Operations Officer, the main responsibilities of this position include:
 
  • Answer to all customer questions (commercial – technical – financial) on line or in writing (paper & e-mail);
  • If necessary, take contact with our 2nd and/or 3rd level teams for assistance;
  • Always respect service/quality level standards, processes & work methods;
  • Propose additional product and services to increase customer value;
  • Handle all customer related administration;
  • Decide on discount to be offered to customers in case of compensation for inaccuracies;
  • Inform customers continuously on the status of their problem according to their segmentation (internal and external customers).
The successful candidate can build on minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a customer services environment, has knowledge of contact centre activities and of mobile and telecommunications products, services, technical matters, GSM, data and Internet.
