Talk like an Egyptian

BLADNA lets Italy’s growing community of Egyptian, Moroccan and North African nationals call home cheaply.

When your brand name means ‘homeland’ in Arabic, you better make sure you’re speaking the language of your audience. Our experience with Samatel in Oman meant we were able to adapt our Arabic interface quickly for this new market. In fact, the whole project was a model of efficiency.

Planning, implementation and launch happened in just two months. We even managed to bring a few innovations, such as a feature that lets street vendors activate a SIM card for a smartphone directly upon purchase. Our team will continue to manage all BLADNA’s technical operations as well as helping them quickly develop new services.

BLADNA, a subsidiary of Vodafone Egypt, will be hosted by a local network in Italy. Along with Uno Mobile and Daily Telecom, this makes three Effortel-powered MVNOs in the country and shows once again how speaking to the needs of specific ethnic communities can create new areas for growth in saturated markets.
